Working Principle
Through piezoelectric sensors, the equipment makes low-frequency ultrasonic sounds. These waves go into your mushroom mix through a metal sonotrode, making zones of high and low pressure that move back and forth.
During rounds of low pressure, tiny bubbles called cavitation form in the liquid. When these bubbles violently pop close to the cell walls of mushrooms, they make:
- Micro-jets moving at up to 280 m/s that physically split cell walls
- Hot spots in certain places that hit 5000K for nanoseconds (without heating the liquid as a whole)
- Forces that cut through chitin 50–100 times faster than stirring alone
This sonic cavitation effect pulls bioactive chemicals from inside cells straight into the solvent. When the thickness of the slurry changes, the jacketed flow cell keeps the temperature under tight control, and automatic frequency tracking makes sure that the best energy transfer happens no matter what.

Process Flow
Step 1: Material Preparation
Crush dried mushroom matter into pieces that are 20 to 40 mesh in size. In the extraction jar, mix with a liquid from 1:8 to 1:12 (water, ethanol, or dual-phase).
Step 2: Ultrasonic Treatment
The system moves the slurry through the flow cell, and the sonotrode keeps creating cavities in the fluid. The extraction takes 24 to 40 minutes, and the temperature is checked in real time.

Step 3: Solid-Liquid Separation
Move the cleaned slurry to filtering units that are built in. For fast clearing, the tools can be hooked up to Nutsche filters or centrifuge decanters.
Step 4: Concentration (Optional)
Take the extract that has been filtered to vacuum evaporators or falling-film concentrators. Our flexible design lets us easily connect to processing that comes after.
Step 5: Solvent Recovery
For ethanol-based extractions, the built-in distillation module can reuse up to 95% of the solvent, which cuts down on costs by a large amount.
Step 6: CIP Cleaning
All wet parts are cleaned between batches using 0.5% NaOH and 2% citric acid cycles in automated Clean-In-Place routines.
