Working Principle
The Curcumin Extraction Machine uses multiple types of extraction methods to get the most beneficial compounds back while keeping heat-sensitive curcuminoids safe.
Ultrasonic-Assisted Cell Disruption
Ultrasonic waves with a frequency of 20 to 40 kHz make cavitation bubbles in the solvent. When these bubbles pop, they make tiny jets that break the cell walls of turmeric. This mechanical motion is a lot better at getting rid of curcumin molecules that are stuck than just soaking them.
Low-Temperature Solvent Extraction
At controlled temperatures (40–60°C), food-grade ethanol or other acceptable solvents can break down the curcuminoids once the cell walls are broken. The jacketed tank keeps the exact temperature so that the active chemicals don't break down.
Efficient Separation and Concentration
The mixture of extract and liquid goes through precision filtering to get rid of any solid leftovers. The liquid then goes into a multistage evaporation device. The solvent is slowly taken away under pressure, which concentrates the oleoresin that is high in curcumin.
Solvent Recovery and Recycling
Solvent vapour that has been evaporated goes through a dual-condenser device, which turns it back into a liquid. This recovered solvent is used again in the process, which achieves recovery rates of over 95% and greatly lowers both running costs and environmental effect.

Process Flow
Step 1: Raw Material Preparation
To get the most extraction surface area, dried turmeric rhizomes are ground into a 20–60 mesh powder.
Step 2: Loading and Pre-Treatment
The extraction jar is filled with powder. To get the liquid to work better, the machine may do pre-wetting or deaeration.
Step 3: Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction
When a solvent is added, ultrasonic sensors turn on and quickly break up the structures of cells. For 24 to 40 minutes, the extraction takes place at 40 to 60°C.
Step 4: Solid-Liquid Separation
Automatic filter systems separate the spent material from the curcumin-rich extract liquid as the mixture goes through them.
Step 5: Concentration

The extract goes into evaporators, where the solvent is removed in a vacuum at low temperatures. This leaves behind concentrated turmeric oleoresin.
Step 6: Solvent Recovery
As the vapour moves through the condensers, the liquid solution is collected and saved for use in later runs.
Step 7: Final Processing (Optional)
Additional purification, crystallization, or drying steps can be integrated to produce standardized curcumin powder meeting pharmaceutical specifications.
