Ultrasound Assisted Solvent Extraction Equipment - Advanced Extraction Solution
The ultrasound assisted solvent extraction system from Xi'an Bioland Instrument is a big step forward in the field of extraction technology. This industrial-grade gear uses high-intensity sound waves (20–100 kHz) to create strong cavitation effects that break down cell walls and improve the efficiency of mass movement. Our system makes extraction 50–100% more efficient than old ways of doing things, and tasks can be finished in 24–40 minutes, which is more than two thirds less time. The machine can be set up with two ultrasonic waves if needed for faster breakdown, and it can be automated with a PLC for smart operation. Our product technology works at low temperatures (40–60°C), which protects heat-sensitive bioactive substances while reducing the use of solvents. It meets GMP/FDA standards and has CE, ISO, UL, SGS, ATEX, and IEC approvals.

Working Principle
Acoustic cavitation science is used in the ultrasound assisted solvent extraction process. When sound waves with a high frequency go through the liquid, they make loops of high and low pressure.
During low-pressure stages, tiny bubbles appear in the liquid. These bubbles get bigger and bigger quickly until they hit a certain point. Then, when the pressure is high, they fall apart fiercely.
Micro-jets, shock waves, and very high shear stress are some of the strong local forces that this collapse creates. These mechanical effects damage the walls of plant cells and break down cellular matrixes.
The disruption makes a huge difference in the amount of surface area that the solid object and liquid can touch. Compounds inside cells release more quickly and fully.
In contrast to heat extraction ways, cavitation does this improvement without keeping the temperature high for a long time. This keeps thermolabile bioactive molecules from breaking down.
The "sponge effect" makes it even more effective—the structure of the material quickly contracts and expands, pushing the solvent deep into the cellular matrixes and releasing the extracted chemicals.

Process Flow
Step 1: Material Preparation
The raw material should be put into the extraction jar. Add the right liquid based on the chemicals you want to work with.
Step 2: System Setup
Set the temperature, ultrasonic strength, and extraction time based on the properties of your material.
Step 3: Ultrasonic Activation

Start the process of making sound waves. Cavitation starts right away, which damages the structures of cells.
Step 4: Extraction Phase
Keep the temperature under control while ultrasound waves keep moving mass around. Use the control panel to keep an eye on the process.
Step 5: Filtration
Use the built-in filtering device to separate the extract from the solid residue.
Step 6: Concentration (Optional)

If needed, use the low-temperature concentration tool to process the removed liquid.
Step 7: Solvent Recovery (Optional)
Using the closed-loop recycling device, you can get back and return solvents, which lowers your operating costs.
Step 8: Collection
Get your pure extract, which should have higher levels of active compounds and fewer toxins.
Application Fields
Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical Manufacturing
Plants can be used to get alkaloids, flavonoids, and cannabinoids. Ideal for separating artemisinin, curcumin, and CBD from complicated plant mixtures. The gentle separation keeps the structure of the molecules.
Food & Beverage Industry
Get flavour molecules, vitamins, and natural colourants quickly. You can get pectin from citrus peels, anthocyanins from berries, and flavonoids from olive pomace. Use by-products of industry to help your green economy efforts.

Cosmetic & Personal Care
Make high-quality plant oils for skin care products. Make stable nano-emulsions directly during extraction to make the active ingredients in your finished goods more bioavailable.
Essential Oil Production
Capture delicate chemical molecules without hurting them with heat. Get higher yields and better flavour profiles than with regular steam distillation.
Herbal Medicine Processing
Get as many of the active ingredients out of traditional Chinese medicine and plant materials as possible while still keeping their healing qualities.
Research & Development
Speed up your lab work by getting quick, consistent extraction results from a range of sample types.
Quality Certification
Xi'an Bioland Instrument maintains rigorous quality standards verified by international certification bodies:
- European safety and health rules are met by CE certification.
- ISO Certification: Systems for managing quality around the world
- UL Certification: Standards for product safety
- SGS Verification: A separate check of the quality
- ATEX Certification: Rating for equipment that is safe from explosions (for models that apply)
- IEC Standards: Meeting international electrical requirements
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) rules say that all of your tools, materials, and production methods must meet certain standards. This makes sure that your operations keep up with pharmaceutical-grade quality standards.

FAQ
Q: Can I scale this technology from laboratory to full production?
A: Absolutely. We design systems from benchtop units to industrial-scale continuous flow reactors. Our engineering team ensures consistent cavitation intensity across all volumes.
Q: Will the process heat damage my sensitive compounds?
A: No. While cavitation creates localized energy, our jacketed cooling system controls bulk temperature precisely. Pulsed operation mode further dissipates heat for thermolabile materials.
Q: How does this compare to supercritical fluid extraction?
A: Our system offers significantly lower capital and operational costs. While both technologies excel at different applications, ultrasound extraction provides greater solvent versatility and simpler operation.
Q: Is the equipment safe for flammable solvents?
A: Yes. We provide ATEX-rated explosion-proof configurations specifically designed for organic solvent environments with appropriate safety measures.
Q: What maintenance does the ultrasonic probe require?
A: Titanium probes typically last 1-3 years in industrial settings. We recommend regular resonance frequency checks and provide replacement probes as part of our ongoing support services.
Q: How much solvent can I save?
A: Customers typically report 30-50% reduction in solvent consumption compared to traditional extraction methods, lowering both costs and environmental impact.
Q: Do you provide installation and training?
A: Yes. We offer complete turnkey services including on-site installation, system commissioning, and comprehensive operator training.
