Working Principle
Ultrasonic cavitation and controlled heat extraction are both used in the propolis extraction machine to get the most medicinal compounds out of the plant.
Stage 1: Raw Material Preparation
The extraction jar is filled with raw propolis. The material is fully submerged in ethanol or another food-grade liquid.

Stage 2: Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction
Ultrasonic waves at 20–40 kHz make bubbles that are very small. When these bubbles pop, they break cell walls apart very quickly. Flavonoids, phenolic acids, and other active ingredients quickly mix with the fluid.
Stage 3: Temperature-Controlled Extraction
Jacketed heating keeps temperatures steady between 40°C and 60°C. This low-temperature setting keeps heat from breaking down chemicals that are sensitive to it. With vacuum help, boiling points drop even more.
Stage 4: Filtration & Dewaxing
The extract goes through several stages of screens that get rid of wax, gums, and other solids. Chilling to -18°C can be used to get rid of unwanted fats so that the separation is clean.

Stage 5: Concentration & Solvent Recovery
Vacuum evaporation makes the product more concentrated while getting back 90–95% of the solvents. Recovered ethanol goes back into the system, which cuts down on waste and costs.
Stage 6: Final Polishing
A final step of micron-level filtering makes sure that the brightness is pharmaceutical-grade. The finished extract meets very high standards for quality.

Process Flow
- Feeding → Raw propolis loaded into extraction tank
- Solvent Addition → Measured ethanol/solvent introduced
- UAE Activation → Ultrasonic system initiates cell disruption
- Heating Cycle → Controlled thermal extraction (40–60°C)
- Primary Filtration → Removal of solids and coarse particles
- Dewaxing → Chilling and wax precipitation
- Vacuum Concentration → Solvent reduction under low pressure
- Solvent Recovery → Ethanol collection and recycling
- Secondary Filtration → Fine filtration to 0.45μm
- Discharge → Transfer to storage or downstream processing
Optional modules, such as CIP cleaning systems for cleaning between runs, automatic discharge systems, and PLC interfaces for real-time tracking, all work together without any problems.
Application Fields
Pharmaceutical Industry
Standardize the propolis products that will be used in throat sprays, tinctures, and softgel pills. Our tools make sure that the flavonoid content always stays above 5% total flavonoids and get rid of heavy metals and other impurities.
Cosmetics & Skincare
For serums, creams, and lotions, get antibacterial and antioxidant chemicals out of the plant. The method gets rid of sticky resins and dark pigments that make the feel and look of the product worse.
Functional Foods & Beverages
Make propolis that dissolves in water (WSP) for health drinks, food supplements, and honey mixes. Emulsification modules get rid of the taste of booze and keep liquid formulas from precipitating.
Nutraceutical Manufacturing
Prepare propolis to be put into capsules and used in pills, powders, and liquid remedies. Bioavailability and shelf stability are kept up by precise extraction.
Veterinary Products
Make health products and skin treatments for animals that are based on propolis. From R&D in the lab to full-scale production in factories, our tools can handle it all.

Quality Certification
Our manufacturing facility holds multiple international certifications ensuring product reliability and safety:
- CE Certification stands for "European Conformity" for safety tools.
- The Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015)
- Compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards for design
- FDA Standards—The products and methods used are in line with FDA rules
All pressure tanks are put through a lot of tests. Systems that aren't likely to explode meet ATEX guidelines for dangerous places. Each unit comes with all the paperwork and papers that show how the materials were made.

FAQ
Q1: What solvents can this machine handle?
A: Our system processes ethanol, ethyl acetate, and other food-grade organic solvents. Supercritical CO2 configurations also available for solvent-free extraction.
Q2: How does ultrasonic extraction improve yield?
A: Ultrasonic cavitation breaks cell walls more effectively than mechanical agitation. You extract 40–50% more active compounds in shorter time frames.
Q3: Can I process other botanicals besides propolis?
A: Absolutely. The machine handles various plant materials including herbs, mushrooms, roots, and seeds. We've built successful lines for turmeric, stevia, and capsicum extraction.
Q4: What's the typical ROI period?
A: Most clients recover costs within 12–18 months due to higher yields, faster processing, and 90–95% solvent recovery reducing operational expenses.
Q5: Do you provide installation and training?
A: Yes. Our engineers perform on-site installation, commissioning, and operator training. We also offer remote video support when needed.
Q6: What maintenance does the equipment require?
A: Regular CIP cleaning cycles, periodic seal inspections, and annual calibration of sensors. We provide detailed maintenance schedules and spare parts lists.
Q7: Can the system run continuously?
A: Designed for batch or semi-continuous operation. With proper scheduling and CIP integration, you can run multiple batches daily with minimal downtime.
Q8: What lead time should I expect?
A: Standard configurations ship in 5–7 days. Custom-engineered systems typically require 30 business days from order confirmation to delivery.
