Supercritical Fluid Extraction Machine – Advanced CO₂ Extraction Technology
Our supercritical fluid extraction machine is a separate device for large businesses that uses supercritical CO₂ as a clean solvent to get bioactive chemicals out of natural materials. It works above CO₂'s critical point (31.1°C, 73.8 bar) and blends the ability of gases to diffuse with the ability of liquids to dissolve. This product can work with pressures between 350 and 1,000 bar and temperatures within ±1°C. It can remove 90 to 95% of the substance without leaving behind any harmful chemicals. It meets GMP/FDA guidelines and is made of SS316L stainless steel with a 95% CO₂ collection system. It has been approved by CE, ISO, UL, and SGS, and it comes with PLC automation, 50 MPa high-pressure protection, and separation steps that can be changed to fit your needs. It is great for the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.

Working Principle
Changing the behaviour of the phases is what the supercritical fluid extraction machine does for money. Allow me to explain:
Step 1: Pressurization & Heating
When carbon monoxide is pressed past its critical point (31.1°C, 73.8 bar), it changes into a supercritical state that can dissolve things like a liquid and go through things like a gas.
Step 2: Selective Extraction
In the extraction tube with the raw material, supercritical CO2 runs through it. To target particular compounds, like cannabinoids, essential oils, or alkaloids, you can exactly change the temperature and pressure. This leaves behind unwanted components.
Step 3: Separation
The blend with the CO2 extract goes into separator tubes, which lower the pressure. So, CO2 turns back into a gas, letting the molecules that were removed be collected. Moving light oils, heavy oleoresins, and fats around in a multi-stage separation is possible.
Step 4: CO₂ Recovery
Once the CO2 gas is cooled down, it is recompressed and put back into the system. The process is sustainable and cost-effective because our closed-loop system recovers 95–98% of the flow.
Process Flow
Pre-Treatment → Extraction → Separation → Collection → CO₂ Recovery
- Preparing the raw materials: Grind or pre-treat the materials to make the most of their surface area.
- Loading: Put ready-made material into the extraction bucket and fill it up.
- Pressurization: Use precise temperature control to pump CO₂ to a state where it is supercritical.
- Dynamic Extraction: Target chemicals are dissolved as supercritical CO₂ flows through the material.
- Fractionation: Separators with more than one stage separate different types of compounds.
- Collection of the Product: Pure extracts are collected in their own containers.
- Gas recycling: CO2 is taken back, cleaned up, and used again.
Application Fields
Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical
Using solvent-free methods, you can get medical-grade cannabinoids (CBD/THC) from hemp, artemisinin from sweet wormwood, and alkaloids. A great choice for making APIs.
Food & Beverage
Make coffee and tea less caffeinated without changing the taste. Don't let heat break down the hop oils you need for brewing or natural colourants.
Cosmetics & Perfumery
At almost room temperature, you can get the delicate essential oils from jasmine, rose, and other plants. For natural scents, keep flammable oils around.
Natural Products
To make dietary vitamins, useful foods, and traditional medicine, you can get high-value ingredients from plants, spices, and herbs.
Research & Development
This product is perfect for labs that are looking for new ways to remove substances, make new medicines, or improve a process.

Quality Certification
Our dedication to quality is backed by strict certifications:
- CE Certification means that it meets European standards for safety, health, and the environment.
- ISO Certification: Quality control methods make sure that products are always of the highest quality.
- UL Certification: It meets safety standards in North America.
- Certification by SGS: A third party checks the quality and compliance.
- FDA and GMP standards: made for work settings that handle pharmaceuticals.
- International safety standards are met when building pressure vessels according to ASME and PED standards.
Before it is sent out, every machine goes through hydraulic testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and full FAT approval.

FAQ
Q1: How does the yield compare to ethanol extraction?
A: Although ethanol is faster for bulk oil, our method is more selective and pure. With only a little post-processing, you can get 90–95% efficiency for specific chemicals.
Q2: What maintenance is required?
A: Depending on how they are used, high-pressure piston seals usually need to be replaced every 1,000 to 2,000 hours. Regular filter cleaning makes pumps last longer.
Q3: Is the CO₂ reusable?
A: Being eco-friendly and cost-effective, our closed-loop device captures 95–98% of CO₂.
Q4: Can it handle sub-critical extraction?
A: Yes. You can operate at lower pressures and temperatures to extract delicate volatiles or terpenes before transitioning to supercritical parameters.
Q5: What facility requirements are needed?
A: You'll need a stabilized 3-phase power supply, a chiller for CO₂ condensation, and instrument air for pneumatic valves. Explosion-proof housing is recommended if co-solvents are used.
Q6: Do you provide training?
A: Yes. We offer comprehensive operator training, operation manuals, and remote technical support throughout the equipment's lifetime.
Q7: What's the difference between single, double, and triple-stage separation?
A: More stages allow finer fractionation of compounds with different volatilities, improving extract purity and enabling collection of multiple product grades in one run.
