Reactors made of GG17 borosilicate glass, with thermal shock resistance (ΔT up to 110°C), provide real-time optical transparency for crystallization, phase separation, and reaction dynamics. Features

1.The glass components are made of G3.3 borosilicate glass with good chemical and physical properties, such as: corrosion resistance and heat resistance.

2.Routinely applicable temperature range: high temperature experiment (maximum temperature is 200℃), low temperature experiment (minimum temperature is -80℃).

Working Principle

In a tight, controlled environment, your pilot plant glass reactor performs chemical reactions, distillations, and extractions.

Heating/Cooling:

The double jacket transfers heat to and from the reaction mixture via thermal fluid. An external thermostat ensures ±1°C set-point precision.

Agitation:

The vessel's PTFE-coated impeller is driven by a high-torque motor. Stirring speeds mass transfer, maintains temperature, and reduces sedimentation and fouling.

Vacuum Operation:

Reduce internal pressure using a vacuum pump to reduce boiling points for gentle solvent evaporation or oxygen-free processes.

Reflux & Distillation:

Top-mounted glass condenser brings vapour up. Condensed liquid refluxes or distills in a receiver flask.

Material Addition:

Use dropping funnels or automated dosing pumps to add reagents via the top lid ports for exact stoichiometry.

Monitoring:

Real-time colour changes, phase separation, and crystal formation are possible with transparent walls, which optimizes processes.

  • Measurement of Agitator Run-Out: Makes sure that the shaft wobble is less than 0.5 mm to avoid vibration cracks.

Q1: What is the safe thermal shock limit for your reactors?

A: Our GG17 glass handles ΔT of 60°C–110°C depending on volume. We recommend programming gradual ramps on your thermostat to avoid stress fractures.

Q2: Can I run overpressure reactions?

A: Standard units are rated for vacuum and atmospheric pressure. For pressures above 0.5 bar, order our reinforced pressure-reaction glass models (up to 12 bar) with polycarbonate shields.

Q3: Which stirring impeller should I choose?

A: Use Anchor impellers with PTFE scrapers for high-viscosity materials (polymers, creams). Choose Propeller or Pitch-Blade impellers for suspensions and crystallization to prevent settling.

Q4: How do you ensure long-term sealing performance?

A: We use dry-running PTFE mechanical seals or magnetic couplings. For deep vacuum (< 10 mbar), ceramic-face seals are standard. Inspect seals periodically per your maintenance schedule.
