200L Glass Reactor - Industrial Pilot Scale Chemical Processing Solution
If you want to do advanced chemical synthesis, crystallization, or extraction, the 200l glass reactor from Xi'an Bioland Instrument is the perfect vessel for you. This reactor, which is made of high-quality GG17 high-borosilicate glass 3.3, fills the important gap between research and development in the lab and full-scale production in industry. Our double-jacketed design can work in temperatures ranging from -80°C to 250°C, and the built-in vacuum system can reach pressures as low as 0.098 MPa for effective solvent recovery. This product offers accurate temperature control and full visual tracking thanks to its PLC-driven intelligent control and modular extension options. It is approved by CE, ISO, UL, and SGS, and it meets GMP/FDA standards for making medicinal APIs and using it in biotech.

Basic configuration
- The parts in contact with the material are all made of high borosilicate glass (expansion coefficient 3.3) and PTFE materials, which have stable performance and are not easy to react with the materials.
- Using aluminum alloy + stainless steel material as frame body

- Glass + PTFE discharge valve, side material discharge without effusion.
- Low-speed power-increasing motor, electronic stepless speed regulation, fine adjustment by knob, speed control box with dual display function can digitally display the speed and the temperature of the material in the kettle.
- The stirring system adopts ceramic bearings and mechanical seals to prevent the stirring rod from wearing out.
- Using PT100 temperature sensor, 304 stainless steel material, wrapped by transparent PTFE tube outside , double anti-corrosion.
- Vacuum pressure gauge shows real-time vacuum by pointer.

- Crescent-type stirring paddle, 304 stainless steel + PTFE stirring blade; the material of the stirring rod is 304 stainless steel, and it is wrapped in PTFE tube outside.
- There is a universal wheel with brake at the bottom of the equipment, which can be moved as a whole and be operated conveniently.
- Fuse safety protection

Working Principle
Three processes that are timed to work together perfectly make the jacketed glass reactor work.
Thermal Management Layer
Fluid that is moving through the outer jacket moves. The temperature in your fridge or heater stays just right. The glass doesn't leave any hot spots in the reaction liquid as it transfers heat.
Mixing & Homogenization
The motor in the ceiling turns an impeller inside the tank that is lined with PTFE. Anchor, paddle, or rotor shapes make sure that particles are evenly distributed and mass is transferred across 200 litres of space.
Vacuum & Reflux Control
You can connect your vacuum pump to get rid of dissolved gases or lower the boiling point of a liquid. The built-in condenser collects vapours so that they can be reused. Dropping tubes let you add reagents in a controlled way during exothermic processes.
You can see colour changes, phase separation, and crystal formation in real time through the clear jar, which is not possible with stainless steel options.

Application Fields
Pharmaceutical & Biotech
Synthesize active pharmaceutical ingredients requiring zero metal contamination. The 200l glass reactor handles peptide coupling reactions at cryogenic temperatures and crystallization steps for particle size control.
Cannabis & Hemp Processing
Winterization of CBD crude extract demands controlled chilling to −50°C. Pair with explosion-proof motors when using ethanol solvents.
Fine Chemical Production
Manufacture specialty polymers, dyes, and agrochemical intermediates. The wide temperature range accommodates diverse reaction kinetics.
Food & Cosmetic Industries
Extract natural flavors, essential oils, and active cosmetic compounds. Glass ensures flavor purity and regulatory compliance.
New Materials Research
Disperse graphene nanoplatelets or synthesize conductive polymers. Vacuum degassing removes microbubbles from viscous formulations.
University & R&D Labs
Scale up promising lab reactions to pilot volumes. Gather heat transfer data critical for designing 1000L production reactors.

Quality Certification
At Bioland, quality isn't negotiable. Every product undergoes:
- Polariscope Stress Testing: Detects hidden stress points in glass that could cause failure under thermal cycling.
- 12-Hour Vacuum Hold Test: Pressure rise < 200 Pa confirms seal and flange integrity.
- Motor Torque Verification: Loaded testing with viscous fluids ensures shaft stability and bearing precision.
- Ultrasonic Wall Measurement: Confirms uniform 10–12mm thickness to withstand hydrostatic pressure.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and CE compliance certificates are available for your regulatory audits. For pharmaceutical applications, we provide material traceability documentation and GMP compliance reports.
FAQ
Q: Can this reactor handle positive pressure applications?
Standard models operate under vacuum or atmospheric pressure. For positive pressure up to 0.5 bar (hydrogenation), specify our reinforced design during ordering.
Q: What's the maximum safe thermal shock?
Limit temperature differentials to 60°C between jacket fluid and vessel contents. Gradual ramping prevents glass fractures.
Q: How often should seals be replaced?
PTFE mechanical seals typically last 6–12 months depending on chemical aggression and usage frequency. We provide replacement kits and video installation guides.
Q: Is explosion-proof configuration available?
Yes. When processing flammable solvents like ethanol or hexane, specify ATEX/UL Class 1 Div 2 explosion-proof motors and control panels.
Q: Can I visit for Factory Acceptance Testing?
Absolutely. Schedule your FAT visit once production completes. We'll run your actual process parameters during testing.
Q: What maintenance does the glass require?
After each batch, flush with compatible solvents. Annually inspect for micro-cracks using dye penetrant testing. Avoid abrasive scrubbing that could scratch surfaces.
