Stainless Steel Jacketed Reactor - Professional Chemical Processing Solutions
The XI'AN BIOLAND stainless steel jacketed reactor is a high-quality thermal tank made for exact jobs like mixing, polymerization, and chemical synthesis. It has a strong double-wall construction, with an inner tank filled with reactants and an outer jacket that circulates heat media for accurate temperature control (±1°C). The sides of our reactor are electropolished (Ra ≤0.4µm) and made of high-quality SS304, SS316, or SS316L. It won't rust and meets GMP requirements. It comes in sizes from 10L to 20,000L, can handle temperatures from -80°C to +300°C, and can withstand pressures of up to 100 bar. It is better at handling thermal shock than choices sealed with glass, and it can still be cleaned to medicinal standards. There is a full quality check on every unit before it is sent out to make sure it meets ASME Section VIII and PED standards.

Product Feature
1.Strong Corrosion Resistance
stainless steel jacketed reactor are made from high-quality stainless steel materials (such as 304, 316, etc.), offering excellent corrosion resistance. They can handle highly corrosive substances, such as strong acids and alkalis, making them ideal for use in chemical reactions, especially in industries where corrosion resistance is critical.
2.High Strength and Temperature Resistance
Stainless steel not only has excellent mechanical strength but also maintains stability under high temperatures, making it suitable for reactions that occur at elevated temperatures. It can operate effectively within certain temperature ranges.

3.Good Sealing Performance
Stainless steel reactors are designed with tight sealing mechanisms to prevent leakage or vaporization of the reactants, ensuring that materials do not escape during the reaction process and reducing environmental contamination.
4.High Pressure Endurance
Chemical reactions often involve high temperature and high-pressure environments. Stainless steel reactors are typically designed with reinforced walls to withstand pressure variations, ensuring the safety of the reaction process.
5.Customizable Design
Stainless steel reactors can be customized according to user needs, including capacity, shape, and configuration (such as mixing devices, heating or cooling systems), offering flexibility to meet various process requirements.

6.Easy to Clean and Maintain
The smooth surface of stainless steel makes the reactor easy to clean and maintain, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. This is particularly important in the pharmaceutical and food industries, where cleaning performance is crucial to prevent cross-contamination.
7.Intelligent Control Systems
Modern stainless steel reactors are equipped with advanced automated control systems, allowing precise control over temperature, pressure, stirring speed, etc. This improves production efficiency and reduces the need for manual intervention.

Working Principle
Controlled thermodynamic exchange between the process tank and jacket space is how the stainless steel jacketed reactor works.
Temperature Regulation Process:
The jacket space is filled with thermal media like water, steam, oil, or glycol. In exothermic processes, cooling fluid takes in the extra heat. In endothermic processes, heating media move energy around to keep reaction temperatures at the best level.
Agitation Mechanism:
The motor-driven propeller technology makes sure that the mixing is even. Different blade configurations can handle viscosities ranging from solvents with low viscosity to polymers with high viscosities of up to 500,000 cPs.
Pressure Management:
The sealed box keeps the weather under control. For processes that need oxygen, vacuum procedures remove the air. Pressurized devices make it easier for gas-to-liquid processes to happen, like hydrogenation.
Safety Features:
Temperature monitors, pressure release valves, and rupture plates keep the system safe from overpressure and temperature runaway.

Application Fields
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Ideal for making API crystals, making drugs, and handling in a clean way. The reactor can handle the strict CIP/SIP procedures needed by GMP standards.
Chemical Synthesis
Works in conditions that are toxic when making fine chemicals. Safely makes intermediates, catalysts, and specialized chemicals.

Food & Beverage Processing
Works with dairy products, sauces, and liquid mixes. Materials that are FDA-compliant keep contaminants and metals from leaking out.
Cosmetics Production
The best way to mix creams, lotions, and serums. Clean design protects the purity of the product and the image of the business.
Polymer & Resin Manufacturing
In charge of polymerization processes with a high viscosity. High-torque motion is possible because the building is strong.
Biotechnology
Used in processes like fermentation, cell growth, and bioconversion that need to be completely clean and under strict environmental control.
New Energy Materials
Helps make lithium battery materials and liquid salt energy storage systems that need to be stable at very high temperatures.
Quality Certification
Our manufacturing facility maintains the highest industry standards:
- ISO 9001:2015 is a system for managing quality.
- CE Certification: Meeting European safety standards
- Section VIII of ASME's rules covers designing and building pressure vessels.
- Pressure Equipment Directive (PED): Following the rules
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Standards are used in the pharmacy industry.
- FDA 21 CFR Part 11: Electronic records must be kept in accordance with the law
Each unit goes through:
- Testing the hydrostatic pressure at 1.5 times the original pressure
- Helium leak detection for vacuum-rated vessels
- Checking the surface finish
- Documentation for tracking materials
Finish the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with the opportunity for the client to take part.
FAQ
Q: What's the difference between jacketed and batch reactors?
A: A jacketed design specifically refers to the double-wall thermal control feature. All our products function as batch systems, processing materials in discrete quantities rather than continuous flow.
Q: Can you handle high-pressure hydrogenation?
A: Absolutely. We design units rated up to 100 bar with magnetic drive couplings for zero-leakage operation during gas-phase reactions.
Q: What agitator type suits high-viscosity materials?
A: Anchor or spiral ribbon impellers with high-torque motors are best for viscosities above 50,000 cPs. We'll figure out the best arrangement for your fluid based on its features.
Q: How do you ensure GMP compliance?
A: Our vessels have clean tri-clamp connections, electropolished Ra surfaces (less than 0.4µm), no dead-legs, and full material tracking. There is a full reference package.
Q: What's your customization lead time?
A: Standard units ship within one week. Custom-engineered systems typically require 30 business days from design approval to delivery.
Q: Do you provide installation support?
A: Yes. We offer on-site installation guidance, operator training, and commissioning services. Remote video support also available.
Q: What jacket type offers best heat transfer?
A: Half-pipe coil jackets provide superior heat transfer rates due to high-velocity media flow. We'll recommend the optimal design based on your thermal load calculations.
Q: Can existing reactors be retrofitted?
A: In many cases, yes. Share your current specifications, and our engineering team will assess retrofit feasibility for upgrades like automation or explosion-proof components.
