Pilot Scale Spray Dryer - Professional Solution for Efficient Drying 

With its advanced intermediate thermal separation system, Xi'an Bioland Instrument's pilot scale spray dryer is designed to bridge the gap between R&D in the lab and full-scale commercial production. This equipment can evaporate between 5L/h and 25L/h, so it can accurately simulate conditions on a production scale. Inlet temperature control from 120°C to 350°C with PID accuracy of ±1°C, dual-mode atomization (centrifugal up to 30,000 RPM and two-fluid nozzles), and product-contact surfaces made from SS316L stainless steel with a mirror-polish finish (Ra < 0.4εm) are some of the features of our product. It is made for materials that are sensitive to heat and can dry instantly at temperatures as low as 40–60°C, ensuring that 92–98% of the powder is recovered.

Working Principle

The working idea is simple but complex at the same time.

The liquid feed first comes in through a precise pump. Either a high-speed spinning disc or a pressure nozzle atomization system breaks the liquid into tiny drops.

The drops hit the hot air that is moving through the drying room. Instantaneous evaporation happens when the particles lose water very quickly.

Temperature sensors constantly check the air coming in and going out. The PLC system changes the hot parts to keep the drying conditions just right.

As air moves lower, dried bits move with it. Powder is easily collected by the separation device, which is usually a cyclone with bag filters.

Lastly, your product is put together in the right packages. Filtration systems let clean waste air out, which is required by the environment.

For uses with solvents, a closed-loop nitrogen device lowers the risk of explosion. Oxygen detectors keep an eye on levels below 2% and stop automatically as a safety measure.
